Dr. Adrian Burden Awarded the JEMI UK Prize for Entrepreneurship
Wales, United Kingdom: Dr Adrian Burden, President (Europe) of Bilcare Technologies, received the JEMI UK Prize at a reception held at City Hall, Cardiff, Wales recently. The prize is conferred annually on an individual who has shown entrepreneurial spirit within the industry and created commercial success from a technology within the sector.
“It is particularly pleasing to have received this award from a respected UK organisation like JEMI, because I feel that the UK should be more entrepreneurial in high technology sectors such as the nanotechnology, security and the displays and lighting sectors,” said Dr Burden on receiving the award.
Commenting on the prize JEMI Chairman Ian Tonge said, “We are keen to recognize Dr Burden’s sustained effort to commercialize innovative high technology by awarding the JEMI Prize to him.”
The Awards Ceremony was part of the S2K 2010 European Semiconductor Conference programme and followed a day’s workshop on the supply chain of nanotechnology applications, run jointly by the Nanotechnology KTN and JEMI. Dr Burden was an invited speaker in this forum. |
