Bilcare Global Clinical Supplies expands India Facility

Bilcare Global Clinical Supplies (GCS), a leading multi regional provider of clinical trial materials (CTM) services, under its global expansion program, has significantly expanded its packaging operations and Storage capacities at its Pune, India facility to further strengthen its offering to its global customers.
With the current expansion in the facility at Pune, India, the packaging and storage capabilities have increased multifold and the facility has now the ability to manufacture, package and distribute CTM using its own in-house IVRS. The facility with its approval from the local FDA as well as the Narcotics Control Bureau is now fully equipped to not only manage normal CTM but also controlled drug substances.
The facility at Pune, India was commissioned in October 2005 making it the first major operation for providing CTM in India. Subsequently, Bilcare GCS made rapid strides in establishing and continually expanding its operational and distribution capabilities across the world with prime focus on its facilities in Pennsylvania, USA and Powys, UK where it recently infused a major expansion and technology up-gradation program. Bilcare GCS also significantly strengthened its distribution capabilities across the world with its recent formal working agreement with World Courier, a leading specialty logistics company with cold chain expertise.

In the recent past, Bilcare GCS USA facility has expanded its operational capabilities with 26 state-of- the-art packaging rooms, new high-speed blistering technology and large-scale bottling line and tripled its capacity of ambient storage facility. The USA facility has also expanded pre-clinical and early-stage development capabilities to include upgraded granulation and capsule filling technology along with significantly enhanced capacity of its formulation and analytical development services. Similar packaging technology up-gradation were done at the UK facility. Bilcare GCS also strengthened its distribution reach in Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Russia and Eastern Europe apart from its own facilities by entering into a formal working agreement with World Courier.
