David Laskow-Pooley to Head EU Region of Leading Clinical Supplies Company

February 1, 2008-(Crickhowell, Powys Wales, UK)-David Laskow-Pooley, MRPharmsS, QP, former CEO of Surface Therapeutics has joined Bilcare Global Clinical Supplies (Europe) Ltd. (www.BilcareGCS.com) as President. Laskow-Pooley will head the EU Region of Bilcare GCS, a global firm which also has offices in the US, India and Singapore. A subsidiary of Bilcare Limited headquartered in Pune, India, Bilcare GCS is a leading provider of the packaging and global distribution of clinical trial materials. Laskow-Pooley has 30 years of experience in all aspects of the discovery, development and commercialization of Pharmaceutical and healthcare products. He has had a distinguished career in the industry working for a number of pharmaceutical and life sciences companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Abbott, Invitrogen and Amersham in Europe, the US and Japan, and OSI Pharmaceuticals. He was previously CEO of Surface Therapeutics Ltd., a start up company spun out of the University of Oxford which recently sold to Serentis Ltd.

Laskow-Pooley has a degree in pharmacy, specializing in industrial pharmacy and chemical engineering and is a registered Qualified Person. He is chair of the steering group of the Oxfordshire Bioscience Network and an independent Governor of Oxford Brookes University.
